SOFA Statistics is being completely refreshed!
The new version of SOFA is based on better technologies and is built with improved design principles. We've also removed features which didn't prove to be as useful as we originally thought they would be. In spite of all the changes, the core statistics engine uses the same tried-and-true algorithms as the original application.
Replacing the classic desktop application are two projects:
Python Library
The first project is a Python Library called sofastats_lib. This is ready to use. All the details are here: GitHub Documentation. We'd love your feedback! And if you're a developer we'd love you to star it on GitHub.
Web GUI
The second project is a web GUI that uses the completely new sofastats_lib Python library under the hood. The web GUI is still under construction but you can see what we're aiming for in this Kiwi PyCon presentation: How UX Can Improve Your Python Project (Grant & Charlotte Paton-Simpson)
Once again, feedback is welcome.
If you want a GUI user application, keep using classic SOFA Statistics.
