If you have any problems installing SOFA Statistics, or getting it to work properly, please either:
- ask for help on the discussion group
- contact the lead developer directly (contact us)
- or file a bug report at launchpad.net.
Ubuntu Linux
If you have a version of SOFA Statistics installed which is 0.9.24 or earlier, run the following command in the terminal before installing the new version:
sudo apt-get remove sofa
Your data will remain safe in /home/username/sofa and you can copy sofa_db and any vdt or proj files to /home/username/sofastats (in the matching subfolders).

The tar.gz file contains a README.txt and an installation script to run. Installation has worked on Fedora and openSUSE so far. You may also be able to find Mandriva versions at Mandriva International Backports (but check the version is up-to-date). See Non-Ubuntu/Debian Linux Installation
