Ideally, it would:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add more <strong>chart types<\/strong> and more flexibility for graphical customisation<br \/>\n(without compromising the SOFA goals of beautiful output and ease-of-use)<\/li>\n<li>Add a comprehensive array of the most important <strong>statistical tests<br \/>\n<\/strong>(without compromising the ease-of-use and learn-as-you-go goals)<\/li>\n<li>Make it much easier to <strong>automate<\/strong> reporting<\/li>\n<li>Make <strong>publishing<\/strong> reports to the web, and office formats, seamless and simple.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I only have limited time to develop SOFA at the moment, so I have to choose the top priorities. Here is what I think I should do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Charting\n<ul>\n<li>Make it easy to export data so it&#8217;s ready for charting using spreadsheet charting tools<\/li>\n<li>Provide brief documentation on how to use advanced tools like Matplotlib<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Statistical Tests\n<ul>\n<li>Make it really easy to export data from SOFA ready for analysis in R<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Report automation\n<ul>\n<li>Provide documentation so people can automate SOFA themselves using Python<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Publishing\n<ul>\n<li>Add a plug-in for exporting to a document format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I should also solve the remaining bugs preventing Mac users from being able to export output as images.
